Ending 'garbage in, garbage out.'

A new health database, implemented by the University of Toronto, gives AI researchers secure, high-quality patient data that has been scrubbed of personal information.
The repository is designed to be easy for researchers to access and is subject to robust data governance protocols related to ethics, consent, and data sharing.
“When we connect data across institutions, we can discover insights no single team could find alone. We are working on an open science basis to advance medicine and advance how AI can be applied in medicine.”
— David Rotenberg, CAO, CAMH
