Money Boosts Relationship Readiness, But Not Happiness

Single folks with higher incomes are more likely to want a relationship.

University of Toronto researchers found that single people with higher incomes are more likely to want a relationship, feel ready for one, and begin partnerships (possibly reflecting rational decisions during uncertain economic times).

However, the study suggests that higher income does not necessarily lead to increased life satisfaction. 

“People may not want to take the step towards commitment until they have that economic foundation.”
