It all comes down to superior soil.

UBCO researchers have found that Canadian wheat, canola and peas boast some of the lowest carbon footprints in the world — and it's all thanks to our soil.
The country's lower emissions are largely because Canadian soil stores more carbon, and our farms release less nitrous oxide.
