BC Cancer and UBC roll out the fastest PET/CT scanner in Canada


BC Cancer and UBC have introduced Canada’s fastest PET/CT scanner, the Quadra, which delivers full-body scans in minutes with higher image quality and lower radiation exposure, vastly improving diagnostic accuracy and patient experience.


With over $18 million in combined funding, the collaboration is expected to accelerate innovations in cancer detection and treatment across Canada, enabling groundbreaking research using ultra-low doses of new radiopharmaceuticals.
